The second season for William Hartnell’s First Doctor is the next release to come to Blu-ray with Season 2…. Behind the disc tray is an image of the face of the relevant Doctor from the Title Sequence for that particular Season (with the exception of the First Doctor which uses a publicity Shot as his era didn't have his Face in the Titles) which can be seen by removing the last disc. Packed with special features including a look back with key cast, more “Behind The Sofa” episodes, cast and crew profiles, and more!

As for the adventures themselves, the production teams of the day created without a doubt some of the most imaginative and ingenious work ever done on television. A Ed’s Note: You all can hear me screaming excitedly about script headers and dialogue amendments from here, can’t you? At least with The Romans, there was a fair chance they could have borrowed some togas from other BBC productions. The additio nto the range offers Doctor Who fans the opportunity to continue building their own home archive. Read more about the condition New: An item that is still in its original shrink wrap from the manufacturer and the original manufacturer’s seal (if applicable) has not been removed. The entire story comes across as a bit of a mish-mash, but then again, it is a chase across space and time. The Doctor even takes advantage of a case of mistaken identity and parlays it into an audience with Caesar Nero himself. Future Memories - A documentary featuring members of the cast discussing their memories of the making of the story.

Also featured is the less remembered The Web Planet, with its giant ant-creatures, the Zarbi, at war with the peace-loving moth people, the Menoptra. Season 2 is the biggest release yet – a limited edition nine disc box set from the early years of the programme, which sees William Hartnell’s First Doctor take centre-stage.They featured episodes with titles like The Executioners, Flight through Eternity, and The Death of Doctor Who. The episodes are: 'The Christmas Invasion', 'New Earth', 'Tooth and Claw', 'School Reunion', 'The Girl in the Fireplace', 'Rise of the Cybermen', 'The Age of Steel', 'The Idiot's Lantern', 'The Impossible Planet', 'The Satan Pit', 'Love and Monsters', 'Fear Her', 'Army of Ghosts' and 'Doomsday'. l'heure où j'écris ce commentaire, il est sorti depuis deux mois la Season 9, (la Season 2 ici présente étant sortie juste avant) nous n'avons pas encore d'annonce concernant la prochaine sortie de coffret, mais j'espère que si la saison en question contient des épisodes perdus, ceux-ci seront bien évidemment animés et pas laissés comme The Crusade en "RECON". Though upconverted from standard definition source video, the picture appears very sharp and clear - even when compared to "The Next Doctor" special which was also upconverted.

Robert Shearman discusses The Space Museum and discusses why it is a fun story in a feature that defends it against the typical fan ‘consensus’. Subsequent releases, starting with season 18, were put out in a slipcase style, with a grey sleeve replacing the interior card case, resulting in a loss of several pieces of artwork. On 31st October 1964 DOCTOR WHO began transmitting its 2nd series, and during 38 weekly episodes (comprising 9 serials) which came to an end on 24th July 1965 it would attain a level of popularity and ratings that the show would not see again until around the first three years of Tom Baker's tenure in the mid 1970's.Together they face off against the dreaded Daleks, the marauding Mechonoids, the ant-like Zarbi and the meddling Monk, while visiting fantastic alien worlds and turbulent times in the Earth’s history.

Exclusive Enhanced Soundtrack: watch The Dalek Invasion of Earth with an optional enhanced soundtrack. Restoration Featurette - A featurette showing 'before and after' examples of techniques used during the restoration. Convention Footage: A rare chance to hear from actors Jacqueline Hill and Adrienne Hill ( Katarina) alongside Michael Craze ( Ben) and Carole Ann Ford.A well done story with a couple interesting side notes such as a young Jeremy Bulloch a decade before his turn as an archer in The Time Warrior and as Boba Fett in Star Wars. There are two brand new In Conversation interviews with Matthew Sweet alongside William Russell and Maureen O’Brien. Since they’ve been filling the holes in Season 4 with animation, that’s a possibility, but Seasons 1, 5, and 6 are only missing one story each. All 39 episodes—37 brilliantly remastered in BD color, resolution and audio, plus two episodes ingeniously reconstructed using off-air soundtracks and photographs.
